One of the typical, powerful red wines from the local grape, Nero d’Avola (Calabrese). The wine must contain a minimum 85% of the grape, with permission to add local red grapes (0-15%).
Delia Nivolelli Nero d’Avola is intense ruby red with hints of orange that develop after further aging. The aroma is characteristic, pleasant and more or less intense. The taste is dry, rich and harmonious.
There is also a Reserve of this type with an increased (longer) aging requirement.
