This quite rare rosé wine, Friuli Colli Orientali Rosato DOC, has a dark pink color with cherry hints. The scent is slightly grape-like and characteristic, with a dry, full-bodied and balanced taste.
The grapes can be any of the of the red varieties of the zone, for example Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pignolo, Pinot Nero, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Schioppettino or Tazzalenghe.
A barrel-aged Friuli Colli Orientali Rosato Riserva DOC is also available, with minimum 11% alcohol content and a period of aging of no less than 2 years, beginning on November 1st of the harvesting year.
Best if drunk young.
