Friuli Colli Orientali Pinot Grigio DOC is a straw yellow white wine that could measure up to other great Pinot Grigio wines in Italy without difficulty. The wine is made of Pinot Grigio grapes (85-100%), with the permitted addition of local white grapes (0-15%).
A barrel-aged Friuli Colli Orientali Grigio Riserva DOC is also available, with minimum 11% alcohol content. The required aging is 2 years, beginning on November 1st of the harvesting year.
Finally, there is a darker golden, almost copper colored wine, with the same grape composition. In this case, the label mentions “Ramato” (copper colored), the different color being obtained by a slightly longer maceration.
