Matera Bianco Passito DOC is a white dessert wine made from the same grapes as the dry Matera Bianco DOC, meaning a minimum of 85% Malvasia Bianca di Basilicata grapes, with the permitted addition of other non-aromatic white grape varieties, often the Greco variety (0-15%). After harvesting, the grapes are semidried before pressing.

The color varies from dark yellow to amber depending on aging. The aroma is intense and fruity, the taste typical, dry, savory.

Matera Bianco Passito DOC goes well with cakes, with or without cream, and cheese with herbs.
