Matera Primitivo DOC contains a minimum of 90% Primitivo grape with the permitted addition of local, non-aromatic red varieties (0-10%).
The wine has a ruby red color with purple hints, which turns garnet red with age. The taste is persistent, distinctive and dry, with a harmonious fullness, almost velvety. 13% is the minimum alcohol content.
Goes well with roasts.
