Leverano Negroamaro DOC (or Negro Amaro Rosso DOC) is made from the grape Negroamaro (85-100%), with the permitted addition of local red grapes (0-15%).
What is typical of this wine is that it becomes brick red with age. The taste is full-bodied, velvety, with a slight bitterness in the aftertaste.
A rosé wine, Leverano Negroamaro Rosato DOC, is also available, made from the same grapes.
Suitable for most meals.
