Sangiovese is usually thought of as Tuscany's local grape, but on Sicily it also produces interesting results. In the red wine Delia Nivolelli Sangiovese, it must constitute a minimum of 85%, with permission to add local red grapes (0-15%).
The color is ruby red and becomes more orange red after aging. The bouquet is vinous, with a delicate aroma together with a dry, balanced and quite full body and a slight tannic finish.
There is also a Delia Nivolelli Sangiovese Riserva.
