The Friuli Colli Orientali Cialla Bianco DOC white wine can be made from several local grape varieties, but typically, it is made from Picolit and/or Ribolla Gialla and Verduzzo Friulano grapes.
The color is a more or less intense straw yellow, the scent is delicate and typical, while the taste is vinous, balanced and fresh.
A barrel-aged Friuli Colli Orientali Cialla Bianco Riserva DOC is also available, with a period of aging of no less than 2 years, beginning on January 1st of the year following the harvest. Both the barrel-aged and the non barrel-aged type must have 12% minimum alcohol content.
