This rosé wine has the same grape composition as the red wine, Lizzano Rosso DOC, meaning Negroamaro grapes (60-80%), with the permitted addition of Montepulciano and/or Sangiovese, Pinot Nero, Bombino Nero (0-40%) and Malvasia Nera and/or Malvasia di Lecce (0-10%).
With its ruby red color and delicate, fresh and harmonious taste, this Rosato (rosé) can offer an interesting experience, as it fits most lunch or dinner meals.
A fizzy Frizzante type is also available, called Giovane (young), which is, obviously, bottled young, having a low alcohol content. Can be enjoyed with most meals.
Lizzano Rosato DOC should be drunk young.
