Lizzano Bianco DOC is made from the grapes Trebbiano Toscano (40-60%) with the permitted addition of Chardonnay and/or Pinot Bianco (0-30%) and Malvasia Lunga Bianca (0-10%), Sauvignon and/or Bianco di Alessano (0-25%).
The wine has a dark straw yellow color, and a delicate, distinctive fruity taste.
On the same grape varieties, Frizzante and Spumante types are also available and, incidentally, they are glorious aperitif wines.
The wine should be drunk young.
