This barrel aged red wine is made from the same grape as Gioia del Colle Primitivo DOC, the two being the best known red wines of this zone.
Gioia del Colle Primitivo Riserva DOC is a powerful red wine, with a typical, light fragrance. The flavor is rich and inviting and the color ranges from purple to garnet red, after a few years. Despite its power, the wine is very smooth and velvety.
A sweetish Gioia del Colle Primitivo Amabile DOC is also produced, which is mainly enjoyed after the meal, with cheese or dessert.
