The dessert wine Gioia del Colle Aleatico Dolce Liquoroso DOC has the same grape composition as the other two Aleatico wines, Gioia del Colle Aleatico Dolce DOC and Gioia del Colle Aleatico Dolce Riserva DOC, namely the Aleatico grape (85-100%), often with only a small part Negroamaro and/or Malvasia Nera Primitivo (0-15%).
The wine shares the same characteristics as the other Aleatico wines, namely the intense garnet color, with purple reflections, which turn orange with age. The scent, which develops with age, is extremely delicate and distinctive. The taste is very rich, soothing and velvety, with a moderate, balanced sweetness.
All in all, an impressive dessert wine.
