This red wine has the same grape composition as Galatina Negroamaro, meaning Negroamaro (85-100%), with the permitted addition of other local non-aromatic red grapes (0-15%).
The color is intense, dark ruby red, with brick or orange tinge. The bouquet is vinous, distinctive, inviting and intense. The taste is dry and sturdy, but soft, warm and harmonious.
The required aging time for Galatina Negroamaro Riserva DOC is 2 years, beginning on December 1st in the year of the harvest. The wine must be stored in barrels for at least 6 months.
Best enjoyed with fried and roasted dishes.
