On the Salento Peninsula, on an inland area mainly around the artisan town of Galatina, a number of wines are cultivated, which, with a few exceptions, must be drunk young.
The DOC regulations authorizes the towns of Cutrofiano, Aradeo, Neviano, Secli, Sogliano Cavour and Collepasso, all in the Lecce province, to produce wines under the regulations of this region.
