This red wine is made from the same grapes as Aglianico del Taburno Rosso, namely Aglianico (85-100%), with permission to use 15% other local varieties.
The wine is a more or less intense ruby red with the tendency towards garnet red with age. The aroma is insistent and characteristic for the type and has light tannins in the taste, although it becomes more velvet with age.
There is also an Aglianico del Taburno Rosso Riserva and a Rosato.
Shelf life: 5 years or more.
Goes well with roast.
