This sweet red wine was Apulia’s (Puglia) very first DOCG wine (2010), which was a great step for the regions born-again wine industry.
Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale DOCG is solely made from Primitivo grapes dried on the vine. Thus it’s only possible to produce the wine in particular vintages when the climate allows it.
The color is deep red, with shades of garnet while the aroma is large, complex, sometimes with a hint of plum. The taste is sweet, velvety and distinctive.
Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale DOCG cannot be put on the market before June 1st of the year following that the grapes were grown.
Minimum total alcoholic strength is 16%.
To be enjoyed with cakes without cream or together with herb cheeses.
