Ostuni Ottavianello DOC

Facts about this wine

Wine: Red wine
Taste: Semi dry
Volume: Medium
Min. alcohol: 11.5%
Storage potential: 3 years

This subtle, brilliant ruby red, almost rosé-like red wine is made from the rarely seen Italian Ottavianello grape, which is the same with the French Cinsault (85-100%). It is allowed to add the ubiquitous grape Negroamaro and/or Malvasia Nera, Notary Domenico and/or Sussumaniello (0-15%).

The taste is dry, light, vinous and characteristic of the type, but with low yield Ostuni Ottavianello DOC transforms into a full-bodied, spicy wine.

The wine is also known as Ottavianello di Ostuni DOC.

Enjoyed to antipasti, soups and roasted lamb.
