Martina Franca DOC is a white wine very similar to Locorotondo DOC, both in personality and grape composition, meaning Verdeca grapes (50-65%), Bianco Alessano (35-50%) and Fiano and/or Bombino and Malvasia Toscana (0-5%).
The wine, which is also known as simply Martina DOC, is grown around one of the most beautiful cities of Apulia, Martina Franca. The zone stretches along the Itria Valley to Alberobello, the town with many trulli (characteristic Apulian buildings).
To be enjoyed with oysters, fish soup or antipasti.
On the same grapes, a sparkling Martina Franca Spumante DOC is also available.
