This red wine is based on the same grapes as the non-barrel aged Barletta Rosso DOC, meaning Uva di Troia (70-100%) with the permitted addition of local, non-aromatic red grapes (max. 10% Malbec).
Barletta Rosso Riserva DOC is a ruby red to garnet wine, which acquires orange reflections with aging. The aroma is vinous and characteristic, and the taste is dry, harmonious and full-bodied.
The mandatory aging period is 2 years, of which at least 1 year in wooden barrels. The legal aging period begins on November 1st of the year the grapes are harvested.
