This red wine is based on the grape Uva di Troia (70-100%), with the permitted addition of other local, non-aromatic red grapes (0-30%, with a maximum of 10% Malbec).
Barletta Rosso DOC is ruby red to garnet red wine, which acquires orange reflections with aging. The aroma is vinous and characteristic and the taste is dry, harmonious and full-bodied.
A barrel aged Barletta Rosso Riserva DOC is also produced.
