Rosso di Torgiano is a ruby red wine produced from Sangiovese (50-100%), Canaiolo (15-30%), Trebbiano Toscano (0-10%) along with other authorized red varieties (0-15%).
The aroma is vinous and delicate, the taste dry, well-balanced and with a good body.
Interestingly enough, Lungarotti's Rosso ’Rubesco’ is aged almost as long as the house's prestigious Torgiano Rosso Riserva DOCG.
The mandatory aging period is at least 13 months, 6 of which in the bottle. The wine is released for sale on December 1 the year after the harvest.
Shelf life is 3 years.
