Aglianico del Taburno Rosso is made from Aglianico (85-100%), with permission to use 15% other local varieties. The wine is a more or less intense ruby red, with a tendency towards garnet red with age.
The aroma is insistent and characteristic for the type, and there are light tannins in the taste, although it becomes more velvety with age.
There is also an Aglianico del Taburno Rosso Riserva and a Rosato.
Mandatory aging is 2 years and the shelf life is 3 years or more.
Goes well with roast.
