Alcamo Vendemmia Tardiva is a white wine made from the late harvested grapes (tardiva: late fall), and consists of the same grapes as Alcamo Bianco. This is an exotic blend of local and international grapes: Catarratto varieties (60-100%), Ansonica and/or Insolia and/or Grillo and/or Grecanico and/or Chardonnay and/or Müller Thurgau and/or Sauvignon (maximum 40%). Finally, up to 20% other local grapes can also be added.
The grapes, which are lightly dried on the vine, mustn't be harvested before December 15 of the harvest year.
Alcamo Vendemmia Tardiva is a fragrant white wine that color wise ranges from straw to golden yellow. The aroma is characteristic, delicate and persistent. The taste spans from dry to sweet, and is characteristic and harmonious.
Goes well with desserts.
