Crop yield

Under DOC(G), there are often limitations for a lower yield per hectare, according to the belief that a low yield per vine produces a higher quality. In theory, the plant can only collect a certain amount of substances from the soil, which are then distributed on fewer grapes, which in turn produces higher levels of flavors. Experts still dispute whether this theory holds in practice.
