This aged red wine is based on the same grape composition as the unaged type of Eloro Pachino. The wine is cultivated around the city Pachino, which is also a subzone under the Eloro DOC.
The grape composition is Nero d’Avola (90-100%) with permission to supplement with Frappato and/or Pignatello (0-10%).
The result is an intense, granite red wine, which acquires a more brick red color after some years. The aroma is intense, generous and slightly musky in the bouquet. The taste is mostly/exceedingly mellow, tannin-rich and robust, but still with a soft aftertaste.
Mandatory aging is 2 years, of which a minimum 6 months in an oak barrel.
Goes perfectly with lamb.
