Chatus is a blue grape variety that originates in Ardèche, France. The variety requires four times as much labor work as other grapes to get results. As young, the grape gives light red wine with complex scent of harvested fruit and intense and tannic flavor. The wines from the Chatus varietyn often require at least 5 years of storage before they should be drunk.
