In theory, Colli di Faenza Sangiovese DOC and Sangiovese di Romagna DOC are identical red wines, but the differences mostly depend on the producers. This is a red wine made 100% of Sangiovese grapes.
The wine has a ruby red color and a very distinctive and delicate scent with notes of violets. The taste is dry and smooth, with a distinctive aftertaste.
A barrel-aged Colli di Faenza Sangiovese Riserva DOC is also available.
The minimum mandatory aging period is 6 months and the aging potential is 4-5 years.
